Choosing a college major is an important decision. From the time we enter school and well into adulthood, we are confronted with the question, “What do you want to be when you grow up?” It can be a bit daunting when answers such as a superhero or an elephant in the zoo are no longer “correct.”

You are now faced with college applications and other forms asking you to check a box indicating a choice that will ultimately dictate the rest of your life. Rest assured, the boxes are not as life-determining as they may seem. Your major does not always equal your career, and you are likely to have more than one career in your lifetime. However, you must choose a major in order to complete college. The journey to choose one begins with you. This workshop will provide you with seven steps to successfully declaring a major.
