Note-taking — Maximizing the power of your notes

  • Meet with other students/TA/professor to debrief the session.
  • If the professor is using web-based tool (e.g., Sakai), take active part in discussions and Q&A, with your notes ready for annotation.
  • Come back to your notes frequently, reviewing/reciting from cued information and repairing memory (review, recitation and reflection, for understanding/retention). More in Studying Strategies.
