What distractions tend to affect you the most? Walk through our Analysis of Distractions. How many of these distractions apply to you? What might you do to keep them from overwhelming you?

  • Have a plan to cut down on external distractions. Choose your study space and time wisely.
  • Work against internal distractions (daydreams, worries). When an unrelated thought intrudes, push it away or “put it in a box” (if it’s important, write a reminder for yourself to address it later, and set it aside).
